RSI(2) Extreme Reversal Long This strategy trades long on SPY during the U.S. regular session. It seeks entries when the RSI(2) is extremely low, near the VWAP or a recent support, with an up‑rejection pattern (hammer or bullish_engulfing). Positions are closed when the RSI(2) crosses above 50, or when the stop or 1.5R target is hit, whichever occurs first. During the training period, the strategy generated trades regularly but with very negative results: most entries failed to turn into profits. The out‑of‑sample period was consistently poor, with an even lower win rate and accumulated losses. The strategy does not demonstrate a profitable edge in either period. Verdict: rejected, it was not profitable in training or out‑of‑sample. Exits: take profit at a price level, stop‑loss at a price level, strategy exit condition; automatic close at session end if still open; maximum one trade per day. Net results include a cost of 0.10% per trade. Past results do not guarantee future results.

Strategy tested
RSI(2) Extreme Reversal - Timeframe: 5 minutes - Long entry: RSI(2) < 5 + price near VWAP or intraday support + rejection candle. - Short entry: RSI(2) > 95 + rejection. - Stop Loss: 0.2-0.3% beyond the extreme of the entry candle. - Exit: When RSI(2) crosses back 50 or at 1.5R.
What we assumed
- Only the LONG side was modeled. OMITTED: the short entry (RSI(2) > 95 + rejection), because the idea allows both sides and only one can be modeled.
- 'Price near VWAP' was interpreted as the close being within 0.2% of VWAP.
- 'Rejection candle' does not specify pattern: hammer or bullish_engulfing (either).
- OMITTED (not part of the tested rules): Stop: 0.25% (midpoint of 0.2-0.3%) below the low of the entry candle, as a fixed‑level stop on the entry candle (low x 0.9975).
- Take profit of 1.5R with risk multiplier 1.5 calculated from that stop.
- Exit by RSI(2): the cross‑up 50 was used because the idea literally says 'vuelve a cruzar 50'. The first to occur among that exit, the stop, and the 1.5R is closed.
- Hourly window chosen (not indicated in the idea): 10:25-15:30 ET, Monday‑Friday, to allow the 11‑candle look‑back for support. The engine closes at session end.
- The engine takes at most one signal per day (the first).
- The 10‑candle window (minimum of lows) was chosen by the system: the text does not give that number.
- The text does not name the asset: it was tested on SPY.
